As the successful candidate, you will have experience in a wide variety of building related projects from concept to completion. Duties include:
  • Produce Mechanical AutoCAD drawings.
  • Learn the TWS drawing standards.
  • Ensure design complies to codes and regulations.
  • Work well independently or in a team environment.


  • A Bachelors in Engineering (or similar) or C.E.T. specializing in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
  • Diploma in Design/Drafting Technology from an accredited technical institution.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Competency in AutoCAD object-based CAD technologies.
  • Content and detail management.
  • Previous experience in the practice of engineering in the multifamily housing, Hospitality, and Commercial sectors is a plus.
  • Understanding of the Alberta Building Codes is an asset.
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter, passionate about your work, enjoy being challenged.
  • Work well independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team.
  • At least 2 - 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Experience using REVIT MEP 2015 (or newer) is a prerequisite.
  • Able to think three-dimensionally.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire for advancement and professional development.

Job Description – Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Revit Designer Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Revit and AutoCAD drawings from mark-ups prepared by the team leader.
  • Design pipe and ductwork layouts in co-ordination with the architectural, electrical and structural components.
  • Follow office standards to size piping and ductwork.
  • Prepare schematic drawings.
  • Work directly with suppliers to obtain equipment selections.
  • Capable of creating and modifying Revit families.
  • Adhere to given project timelines.
  • Coordinate drawings with other disciplines.
  • Perform site surveys as required to produce as-built or record drawings.
